Here are the images from today in the ford sketchbook. The ruddy duck is getting some much deserved attention. If it weren't in my sketchbook, I would say this looks like some kind of thematic work . . . it could even move toward a narrative of sorts. So, the book has become an exploration of a duck and type for the most part with explosions of spray paint.
To increase disconnect between my hand and the book, I have printed these from the animation, so they are a bit pixelated. I wanted there to be a nod to the digitization of the sketch . . . so it becomes a sketch made outside of the book, dropped to a screen resolution and printed. Then that is transfered in . . . that might be conceptually interesting enough to continue pondering its implications.
